This outstanding example of what you can do with stock packaging was recently featured on lovelypackage.com/brown/. Brown, a confectioner's shop in Bogota, Columbia, decorated simple kraft boxes using a series of cards and rubber stamps to create a simple and low cost brand image through their packaging. Stamping is an inexpensive way to create uniform packaging that is still unique compared to other items on the market.
Another inexpensive way to customize your packaging is to use embossing, which can make a dignified addition to your packaging. Event videographers may find this an effective way to subtly add their logo or Web address to their customers' packaging.
Our third idea is adding die cuts to existing packaging. There's a lot of work involved but die cuts can add a very distinctive look to your packaging. It is a good choice for small to mid-size companies who want their brand to have a "boutique" feel.
